If you notice the before and after pictures of this same patient from the frontal view, you will see that the anti helix is more protruding in the before. The green arrow in this before shows where the anti helix is located. We felt that the anti helix would protrude more when the ears were pinned back. So we discussed with the patient about lowering the anti helix and softening it so that in frontal view it wouldn’t stick out as much after the ear pinning.
