Below is a video showing the use of Intense Pulsed Light to remove unwanted hair from this patient. Intense pulsed light is filtered concentrated light and it's a little different from a laser. Intense pulsed light means that there are light with more frequencies in the colored part of our light spectrum. Whereas with a laser you have any single wavelength that is monochromatic and same frequency. With intense pulsed light and the technologies used the skin surface is protected with a cold piece or cold ice block and the filtered light penetrates deeper to get the pigment or in this case the hair follicle that eventually kills the hair.
