Microdermabrasion is a procedure that uses a tool that abrades the skin and takes away the very top layers of the skin. What this does is allow the skin to regenerate and refresh the skin. It does this through the body's attempt to repair what was taken away. In the process some of the skin gets restructured in a minimal and very subtle way to reduce fine wrinkles and skin textural changes. For example some lightening products will not work unless it gets to the deep part of the skin where the melanocytes reside and in doing microdermabrasion followed by either a chemical peal or skin products you can get deeper penetration of those products.
